Ang Bahay Ko

our tiny lot at present

it was demolished ground level

the house that i grew up

I lived in this house since I was born, now I'm already _years old. Although we acquired a property in rizal, I stayed in this place during weekdays coz its near my workplace.
It's a huge land, located in araneta avenue, close to school and hospitals, the land was acquired by the government 30 years ago but due to technical difficulties it was distributed this year to the census tenants, including us. We've been renting this place for only P500 a month, it does not include the electricity and water bills. Alot of people were waiting for the land to be distrubted, some of them have died of old age. Until last July when the National Housing Authority (NHA) implemented the demolition and lot distribution. Those who were not in the census list were given an option, if they would want to be relocated to Towerville subdivision in Bulacan, but some refused. Either you are census or not, all of us has to demolished the structure to pave way for the new housing plan. We were lucky because our area is located in higher ground, flooding is a problem in araneta avenue.
Other's have already started their construction since they have the money, but I dont. I'm still waiting for the award certificate to be released by NHA,I'm looking for ways to avail of a lot and housing loan package. I'll post all the events that will happen, my loan application, the requirements, the house specs etc. It's a struggle and adventure, a long way for home of my own.
